A memorial service for Ronald “Ron” Edward Wright, who spent years working in his family’s printing business, will be held Monday in High Point, North Carolina.
Wright, 62, died October 19 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after he was involved in a three-vehicle traffic accident a day earlier in High Point, authorities said.

A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, he spent his working life involved in printing at Wright of Thomasville, his family’s business, now called Wright Creative Branding & Labels. He played a key role in the growth of the company’s international business, establishing its China operation and spending many years working in the region, based out of Hong Kong.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26 in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 918 North Main Street, High Point. The Rev. David Smith will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the church’s Family Life Center.
Survivors include his wife, Carol McNeill Wright; children Edward Wright of High Point, Emily Ann Wright of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Katie Mac Wright of Raleigh; siblings Anna Wright Troutman of High Point, Don Wright and wife Shelley of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., and Greg Wright of High Point.
Brothers Bill and Tom Wright founded Wright of Thomasville in 1961, bringing creativity and inspiration to their printing projects. Don Wright, Bill’s son, leads the company today. Wright Creative Branding & Labels produces branding and labels that support business-to-business and direct-to-consumer brands across a range of industries. The company is particularly well known in the mattress industry.
