The International Sleep Products Association announces that six trustees have been reelected to serve another two-year term, and five new trustees will join the board for their first two-year term.
The reelected trustees are Nick Bates of Spring Air International, Cody Messner of Leggett & Platt, Marc Navarre of Talalay Global Inc., Dennis St. Louis of Jones Family of Cos. and Greg Trzcinski of The Original Mattress Factory. The newly elected trustees are Billy Blackburn of Alexium International, Tony Pearson of AH Beard, Jim Turner of SABA North America, Jeff Veach of Culp Inc. and Brandon Wells of Standard Fiber.
Rion Morgenstern of Pleasant Mattress Inc. has retired from the ISPA board after serving three terms. Laurie Tokarz of Restonic Mattress Co. steps into the role of ISPA chair, becoming the third woman to hold this position. Coincidentally, the first woman to serve as ISPA chair was GiGi Giersch, also from Restonic, in 1995.
“I am honored to join the ISPA board of trustees as its new chair. I am fully committed to supporting ISPA’s vital work and look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to elevate and grow our industry,” says Tokarz.
Allen Platek of Tempur Sealy International will serve as the new ISPA vice chair, with Hank Little of Atlanta Attachment Co. transitioning to the role of past chair.
“The invaluable time and input from ISPA’s trustees guide our work on behalf of the mattress industry,” says ISPA President Ryan Trainer. “Representing a broad cross-section of experienced industry professionals, ISPA’s board of trustees is dedicated to helping this industry prosper. We extend our sincere appreciation to both our new and past trustees for their service and commitment.”
