Tempur Sealy International announced that it will close its High Point manufacturing facility later this year.
“We have made the difficult decision to close our High Point manufacturing facility, with production expected to end by December 31, 2026,” a company spokesman said. “The decision reflects evolving customer demand and the needs of our business.”
TSI officials said they intend to continue using the High Point facility as a research and development location for the company’s product development team. “This announcement does not impact the corporate office roles in our Trinity office,” the spokesman added.
The closing is expected to eliminate about 100 positions. The High Point factory produces both Stearns & Foster and Sealy mattresses.
