Aireloom, the premier mattress brand of E.S. Kluft & Company, today announced that its newly launched Preferred Collection has achieved Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification. Aireloom is the first luxury handmade mattress brand in the United States with an entire collection to meet this globally recognized, rigorous standard for safety, according to the company.
The standard is an independent testing and certification system that verifies products at every stage of production are free from harmful substances. The certification requires testing of substances known to be detrimental to human health, ensuring that every material used meets the highest standards for safety. Aireloom’s Preferred Collection has earned the Class II certification (products with direct skin contact) under Annex 4 (testing considering human ecology), the most stringent testing criteria that reinforces safety for everyday use.
Achieving this distinction required that every single component of all 14 mattresses in the new Aireloom Preferred collection be tested and approved – from fabrics and foams to springs, threads and buttons. In total, 94 unique components and materials were rigorously evaluated to meet the certification’s exacting standards. And while many brands make claims to have Oeko-Tex certified materials, that may only apply to specific layers or components and not the entire mattress.
“As a company built on craftsmanship, integrity, and responsibility, achieving Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification is incredibly meaningful for us,” said Jon Stowe, managing director of E.S. Kluft & Company. “Our customers expect the highest level of quality and transparency, and this certification underscores our commitment to delivering not only luxurious comfort, but also products that are safe and responsibly made.”
The certification process spanned more than a year and required close coordination across E.S. Kluft & Company’s internal teams and vendor network. Materials were carefully reviewed and refined to ensure compliance, reflecting a deep commitment to continuous improvement and responsible sourcing.
As the first luxury mattress brand in North America to attain this level of certification, Aireloom aims to set a new benchmark for safety and quality in luxury bedding. This accomplishment answers the increasing consumer demand for enhanced transparency, the use of non-toxic materials, and products that reflect health-conscious and sustainability-focused lifestyles.
Beyond the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, Aireloom mattresses also carry other respected certifications such as Certipur-US for all foam components and eco-Institut for all latex layers, further affirming the brand’s commitment to material safety and environmental stewardship.
This latest achievement marks a significant milestone not only for Aireloom, but for the broader luxury bedding category—establishing a higher standard where craftsmanship, transparency and wellness intersect.
The Aireloom Preferred Collection has been extremely well received and is now available at retail partners nationwide, according to the company.
