High Point is not a bedding market in the same way Vegas is, but there are plenty of innovative products, displays and programs to see in the furniture capital. Here are a few that stood out to the Bedding News Now team as we worked the market last week.

Kuka Home displayed its Becki Owens mattress line around the interior designer’s other furniture that she produces with the company. The vignette brought a sophisticated look to the mattress that matches Owens’ aesthetic.

Bedding Industries of America officials say it’s seeing continued success with its Fab 5 program, which allows consumers to try the same mattress at five different comfort levels, ranging from firm to plush. Depending on whether the customer wants a firmer or softer feel, they start in the middle and move either left or right.

The Beautyrest Black Hybrid Series Four XCS line is offered in split-queen and split-king versions.

Known for its standout displays, Bedgear made this refrigerator to fight the common trend of using sugary drinks and caffeine to temporarily give us energy. Signage around the fridge explains why sleep is the best way to rest and recharge. Officials say a few of their retailer partners are putting this eye-catching display in their stores.

Heritage Sleep offers this high profile $999 coil-on-coil design at high margins.

Symphony Sleep, which is showing in High Point for the first time this market, is working on these in-store displays that look both high end and take up a small square footage of a store. President John Schulte says the company will make a few small tweaks before launching the final version in July at Las Vegas Market.

Diamond’s Black Diamond line touts a cooling sleep story at $2,000 and up.

Mlily is working with Manchester United to conduct sleep studies and understand how sleep fuels athletes. With the FIFA World Cup coming up in July, the company is offering marketing assets like this display to help retailers capture customers.

Jamison retooled its Autograph Series with new looks and new values.

Malouf is showcasing three mattresses from its Weekender line. The three all-foam models come in 6-, 8- and 10-inch versions. Also new is the company’s HexCurve pillow created to be nearly universally supportive for all types of sleeping positions, whether consumers sleep on their backs, fronts or sides. Also notable is that Malouf recently transitioned all of its manufacturing from overseas to domestic production.

Just last week, Dallas-based bedding manufacturer HiEnd Accents unveiled its partnership with Stetson Home. At market, all six collections were on display, including Chisholm and Pikes Peak, pictured here. This is the first bedding collection in Stetson’s 160-year history, part of the company’s recent expansion from its namesake hats to other lifestyle products.
