Shifman hires Mark Quinn, names 2 new sales managers and promotes 1

Shifman Mattresses has introduced a new structure to its leadership and sales teams with the recent hire of industry veteran Mark Quinn as well as two sales managers. In addition, longtime company leader Phil Zucker has been promoted.

Quinn has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing, a newly created position for the 131-year-old family-owned and -operated business. In his new role, he joins the Shifman leadership team and works closely with company President Bill Hammer.

“Mark has the acumen and strategic approach to the business that will undoubtedly elevate our marketing initiatives and forge relationships with high-profile retailers that will position Shifman to exceed industry expectations and redefine luxury sleep,” says Hammer.

With over 35 years of mattress industry experience, Quinn brings extensive expertise in product development, marketing and sales. His career includes executive roles at leading companies such as Mattress Firm, Leggett & Platt, Sherwood Bedding and Serta.

He has made notable contributions to the industry with his innovative ideas and approach as the co-founder of the digital media platform The FAM and co-author of a bestselling book on Amazon called Come Back to Bed.

Zucker has been promoted to executive vice president. Previously Shifman’s general manager since 2012, Zucker will continue to apply his expertise across all facets of the company, including manufacturing, sales, marketing and customer service.

Shifman strengthens its sales force with the addition of two territory sales managers. Kaylie Schiavetta will oversee the Northeast region, and Jeremy Aston takes on the Southwest region.

Schiavetta brings a solid background in sales account management and project leadership. In her previous role as director of strategic accounts at Bedgear Performance Bedding, she was recognized for exceeding revenue targets and fostering key client relationships. She has worked for top consumer brands including Steve Madden and Guess.

Aston joins Shifman with a proven track record in strategic sales planning and market development with industry leaders such as Serta Simmons, Purple and Tempur-Sealy. His career includes retail experience with management of multiple stores in Boise, Idaho. His expertise in driving growth and profitability will be integral to Shifman’s expansion efforts.

Hammer adds, “I’m equally excited to welcome Kaylie and Jeremy, who bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives that will be instrumental as we continue our strategic expansion in new markets and deepen our valued retail partnerships.”
