Las Vegas Market is typically the biggest bedding market of the year. And though press announcements go out months ahead of the show, it can be hard to keep track of everything that’s happening by the time you get to market.
This summer mattress exhibitors are rolling out programs that will help raise dealer margins and give them unique product to put on their floor. Driving foot traffic is still a challenge, and manufacturers will unveil products that provide solutions to retailer pain points.
We’ve rounded up some of the introductions, programs and promotions that bedding exhibitors are offering at the upcoming summer market.
- 3Z Brands is set to unveil its new all-foam mattress lineup under its wholesale brand. The line of products features seven all-foam designs crafted with high-density proprietary pneumatic memory foams. A standout feature is the copper-infused layers, which leverage thermal conductivity to draw heat away from the body. Four of the seven models incorporate cool-to-the-touch polyethylene yarns, and all models are designed at the same height and feature a smooth top, making them compatible with adjustable bases.
- Restonic will display its HealthRest collection, the company’s answer to the health and wellness movement taking over the mattress industry. In the past, the company showed five models, but this market they will unveil the full lineup of eight models. Restonic is also responding to the marketplace with competitive pricing, including a $499 queen hybrid construction featuring a dual cooling technology as well as a layer of gel memory foam. With two different comfort options, there is also a $699 step-up model.
- Diamond Mattress — once a small, regional player limited to the West Coast — has expanded eastward and focused its strategy on technology in premium categories. This market, its Gel Grid line, which was released in 2022, expands with a premium model based on the success of the program. The company is also featuring Auto Pilot, its first smart bed launched earlier this year that is already on the floor of more than 20 top retailers. Diamond is expanding the program’s training and product education modules to further support its success.
- Tempur-Pedic will unveil its Tempur-Breeze pillow collection. Engineered with the company’s Tempur-Material and enhanced with a layer of Breeze Technology, the Tempur-Breeze Pillow line offers two profile heights — ProLo, designed for back sleepers, and ProHi, designed for side sleepers.
- South Bay International is embracing the health and wellness movement with the introduction of its HealthyAir Monitor Adjustable Base. Connected to an adjustable base, this monitor detects pollutants and allergens in real time, providing users with comprehensive air quality trend analysis. It also has sleep and timer modes, wind speed control and negative ion settings that control the purifying of air.
- Preparing for an all-new lineup in January 2025, MLily USA launched its new Free Freight program and Floor Models promotions to get retailers primed for the new products coming. The “Upgrade Your Bottom Line” market deal offers current and new retail partners a free floor model update with the purchase and display of a current floor model from any of the Onyx, WellFlex and ChiroPro series. With a qualifying purchase and meeting program requirements, retailers can receive a free floor model update when MLILY launches new mattress lines at the winter Las Vegas Market in January 2025.
- Emphasizing its in-house capabilities of design, engineering and manufacturing, Symphony Sleep will feature its new Split Head base. For retailers, the split-head adjustable base allows them to capitalize early and often in a niche market that is trending up as more consumers discover the options in the already growing category of adjustable bed bases, the company says. Its redesigned showroom now more prominently displays the “What’s Your Sleep Angle?” marketing concept created by Symphony to highlight “inclined bed therapy.”
- With the success of its copper program since its launch at the January Las Vegas Market, Spring Air International is expanding the line. At price points ranging from $3,000 to $3,899, the company says retailers are finding them an easy sell because of their performance story. Many who use copper infuse it into the foam or latex layers, but Spring Air uses Natuverex. The copper-infused material is used as the cover so it comes in direct contact with a sleeper’s body, which proves to reduce inflammation.
- Paramount’s new East Coast Luxury collection features 100% pure Virginia cotton, a unique material made possible by third-generation owner and managing director Richard Diamonstein, who was instrumental in developing the close collaboration with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and a local gin mill to bring forth the material. The new collection also includes other premium materials such as a silk-wool cashmere blend covered with 100% New Zealand wool, and offers a natural latex quilted zoned lumbar for targeted support. It’s hand-tufted to provide enhanced support and long-term durability.
Manufacturers are ready to arm retailers with products and tools that drive traffic and increase margins, and this is just a small taste of what a few exhibitors are bringing.
