Exclusive Furniture will celebrate the grand reopening of its Almeda location on November 7, 2026, welcoming customers back to a brand-new store in the community where the locally owned furniture and mattress retailer opened its first showroom in 1998.
The reopening marks a meaningful homecoming and a renewed investment in southeast Houston. Located at 12200 Gulf Freeway, Houston, TX 77075, the 30,000-square-foot store will bring together furniture for every room, a dedicated mattress department and personalized service designed to help families furnish their homes with confidence.
“Seeing the devastation Hurricane Beryl brought to our very first location was heartbreaking,” said Sam Zavary, founder and CEO of Exclusive Furniture. “Almeda is where our story began, and we are so happy to say we’re back. We took our time to build this store from the ground up because this community deserves a beautiful space and the full Exclusive Furniture experience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back, reconnect with familiar faces and help a new generation of customers feel at home.”
The showroom will feature living room and bedroom collections, dining furniture, reclining furniture, home accents and coordinated room displays. Customers will be able to explore styles and price points that reflect the selection available throughout Exclusive Furniture’s Houston-area stores.
A mattress store inside the store
The reopened Almeda location will feature a dedicated mattress department, bringing Exclusive Furniture’s “Where Better Sleep Begins” message to the community. Exclusive Furniture carries leading brands including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, Beautyrest, Serta, Sealy and Bedgear, offering options across a range of comfort preferences and budgets. Customers can explore mattresses, adjustable bases and sleep accessories with personalized guidance from our trained sleep specialists.
“We’re bringing a complete mattress-store experience to our Almeda customers, all inside Exclusive Furniture,” said Fawad Zavary, vice president of operations. “Better sleep starts with understanding what works for you. Our sleep specialists take the time to listen, explain the differences and help customers find the right mattress and adjustable base for their comfort, support needs and budget. We’re excited to bring that experience back to this community.”
Alongside its merchandise selection, Exclusive Furniture will offer financing and payment options designed to serve customers across a range of budgets and credit backgrounds, subject to applicable approval requirements and terms.
“A welcoming shopping experience means helping customers through the entire process— from choosing their furniture to understanding payment options and coordinating delivery,” said Fauzia Kabani, director of finance and logistics. “Families have different needs and financial circumstances. Our team is here to explain the available options clearly and help each customer find a practical path to furnishing their home.”
The Almeda reopening reflects Exclusive Furniture’s confidence in the Houston market and its long-term commitment to the communities it serves, the company said in a release. Even as households navigate financial pressures and retailers face a challenging business environment, the company aims to focus on value, service and opportunities for continued expansion.
“We recognize that families are being thoughtful about every dollar they spend,” said Zavary. “That makes our responsibility to deliver value even greater. We’re standing firm, investing in our stores and our people, and looking forward to opening more locations. We believe in Houston, and we believe this is the right time to keep showing up for our customers.”
Exclusive Furniture will celebrate the Almeda grand reopening November 7, with giveaways every hour on the hour, doorbuster deals and plenty of surprises. Additional details will be announced at www.ExclusiveFurniture.com and through the company’s social media channels.
