Bel Furniture will celebrate the ribbon cutting of its new San Antonio North location on Friday, October 9, 2026, marking the opening of San Antonio’s largest furniture showroom and a major expansion of the Texas-based retailer’s presence in the market.
The expansive San Antonio North showroom gives customers access to an extensive selection of furniture, mattresses, kids furniture and outdoor furnishings under one roof.
Bel Furniture is also using the opening to support two San Antonio-area organizations through donations focused on students, children and young adults.
The retailer is partnering with Spring Air Mattress to support Boysville, Inc. – A Texas Home for Boys and Girls, with a donation of 10 queen mattress sets and mattress protectors.
The partnership will extend beyond the mattress donation to include a complete dining room set, a living room set, and a bedroom set equipped with a mattress set provided by Bel Furniture. This donation will help furnish an apartment home for a young person transitioning into Boysville’s Supervised Independent Living program that offers support and resources for youth aging out of foster care.
“Congratulations to the entire Bel Furniture team on the opening of San Antonio’s largest furniture showroom—a milestone that’s well-deserved given the incredible growth and vision Troy, Sid and their team have brought to Texas,” said Spring Air CEO Nick Bates. “Spring Air has been proud to call Bel Furniture a partner for years, and it’s partnerships like this one, built on trust and a shared commitment to doing right by our customers, that make this business so rewarding. We’re especially honored to join Bel in supporting Boysville and helping a young person start their next chapter with a fully furnished home—it’s a perfect example of what this partnership stands for. Here’s to many more years of growth together and to San Antonio North being a huge success.”
Bel Furniture will also donate backpacks and workout equipment to the Johnson High School Cross Country program, helping provide student-athletes with additional resources for training and competition.
“Thank you to Bel Furniture for your incredible support of Johnson Athletics and our students! Having a partnership with an organization that believes in the future of our kids and is committed to impacting their success both on and off the field is truly amazing,” said Theodore Miller, Athletic Director at Johnson High School.
“Opening the largest furniture showroom in San Antonio is an exciting milestone for Bel Furniture, but we want this ribbon cutting to represent more than opening our doors,” said Troy Simmons, General Manager of Bel Furniture. “We want to become part of the San Antonio community. Supporting local student-athletes and helping young people as they prepare to live independently gives us an opportunity to make a meaningful impact from the very beginning.”
Sid Mollai, President of Bel Furniture, said the new showroom reflects both the company’s continued growth and its commitment to the communities it serves.
“For us, opening a new store isn’t just about growing Bel Furniture—it’s about investing in the communities that support us,” Mollai said. “We’ve built our company in Texas, and we believe we have a responsibility to give back. Whether it’s helping student-athletes pursue their goals or helping a young person begin the next chapter of their life with a furnished home, these are the kinds of partnerships we want Bel Furniture to be known for.”
The ribbon-cutting event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with drinks and mingling, followed by the official ceremony at 12:00 p.m. and small bites afterward at 6909 N Loop 1604 E, Suite 1111, San Antonio, TX 78247.
The celebration continues on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. with Bel Furniture’s Grand Opening Sale. The 185,000-square-foot showroom will feature grand-opening savings of up to 60% off furniture, along with furniture giveaways and family activities including face painters, music, food and kids’ activities. Special offers and giveaways are subject to the advertised terms, quantities and eligibility requirements.
