Molecule, the science-led mattress brand focused on rest and recovery, announced a new partnership with Furniture Marketing Group (FMG) as it continues expanding its independent retail business. In August, the brand reached its highest number of active retail partners since launching its independent retail program.
FMG is a home furnishings networking and buying group representing approximately 100 independent retail members with more than 1,000 storefronts across the United States and Canada. As an approved FMG vendor, Molecule provides unique FMG marketing and retail programming opportunities to members.
The announcement follows continued retailer growth in 2026 as Molecule strengthens its retail program under a team of industry veterans with experience in both retail and distribution.
“Every partnership our team has added this year was earned. There’s no shortcut to trust in our industry,” said Mike Juoni, vice president of sales for specialty bedding at FXI, the foam manufacturer behind Molecule. “We built this program to help retailers win with a differentiated product story backed by the training, floor support, and marketing to deliver on it. We want Molecule to give shoppers a compelling reason to choose their store.”
Molecule is expanding its training team and programs alongside its retail network. Retailer support also includes in-store merchandising designed to help drive sell-through and a multifaceted marketing program that began in the second quarter with the brand’s activation around the Boston Marathon.
Retail partners point to the people behind the program as much as the product.
“My decision to sell Molecule on my floors was all about knowing the people I would be working with,” said Jerry Thomas, director of stores for BLVD Home, an FMG member and leading regional retailer based in St. George, Utah. “The Reflex beds look great, feel great, and are priced to give good margins for us and a great value to my customers. Working with the Molecule team has been amazing up to this point. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.”
Yogi Denisov, owner of independent retailer Mattress Near Me in Florida, pointed to both product differentiation and manufacturer support as strengths of the program.
“Molecule itself gives my customers a different feel and sleep experience from much of what they’re used to seeing, backed by the quality, speed, resources, and support of an established manufacturer,” Denisov said. “It’s a product I feel comfortable putting on my floor because it adds something to my selection rather than simply taking up another spot.”
Molecule plans to announce additional retail partnerships in the coming months as it continues expanding its distribution and retailer support.
