After two years of working behind the scenes, Customatic Sleep Technologies has made significant updates to its digital capabilities, POS displays and marketing assets.
Dreamsensesleep.com is the company’s new DTC website, which officially launched on Friday. Bill Bush, chief commercial officer for Customatic, says the site will help drive traffic to retailers’ stores and create conversions.
“There are so many mattress brands out there, but we want to speak to the consumer experience and how to give them a more curated, sensory-driven sleep system,” said Bill Bush, chief commercial officer at Customatic. “We have a very specific and concise assortment, and retailers are now able to experience all the elements of this omnichannel approach.”
And the company is betting on driving customers into retail stores so they can experience the innovative point-of-sales tool Customatic has introduced.
Set up beside the DreamSense beds are tablets that take customers through an immersive, experiential journey. During a three-minute video that the customer watches while lying on the bed, the bed’s features are highlighted in real time. These synchronized actions show the customer what the bed does while explaining it, making the RSA’s jobs easier and more frictionless.
The consumer has control of the tablet, so they can pause or rewind and talk to the RSA about follow-up questions throughout the process.
“The products are going to move, they’re going to educate and they’re going to help the consumer and sales associates get comfortable,” Bush says. “And we think that will do a ton for driving conversions. All of our early indicators and retail tests we’ve done have been great — they drive conversion and make it easier to buy. Now we’re looking for strategic retail partners, because we don’t want to sell to everybody. We want to have the right distribution.”
The company’s DreamSense mattresses come in different profiles from 8 inches to 13 inches with both memory foam and hybrid options. Features include SnoreSense compatibility, massage, under-bed lighting and head tilt. The pillow lineup includes AirPure memory foam with charcoal which, because of its porous structure and absorption power, creates improved airflow within each pillow.
The DreamTemp Opus offers a variety of features, including lumbar support, head tilt, USB-A / USB-C and Vibrasense massage with zen mode, creating sound-wave vibrations within the base to move through the mattress.
A Hi-Lo accessory can be used as an add-on to any one of Customatic’s adjustable bases. At less than 6 inches thick, this platform-ready component can be added underneath an adjustable base, without legs, to raise over 14 inches and then lower. It can lift 1,000 pounds and has the ability to tilt 8 degrees forward to combat acid reflux as well as backward for spinal decompression and improved circulation.
“We’re excited to bring all of this to our retailer partners at Las Vegas Market, and we’re looking forward to continuing to make improvements and help retailers,” Bush adds.
