The High Point Market is welcoming three new bedding exhibitors this week, while two other bedding vendors are returning to the market after initial showings earlier this year.
The newcomers are Customatic Technologies, showing in the BeyondSmart powered by eMoMo showroom at 120 S. Main St.; South Bay International, showing at 510 Furniture Plaza; and Sleep on Green, showing at 130 W. Commerce Ave. on the second floor.
Returning to High Point are Diamond Mattress and DreamFit, both of whom joined the market lineup in April.
While the Las Vegas Market is the industry’s main bedding event, High Point’s market lineup has always included a number of mattress and sleep accessory companies, and bedding newcomers are a regular feature of the High Point Markets.
“We’re coming to High Point to increase our exposure with both existing and potential customers, especially along the East Coast,” said Bill Bush, Customatic’s chief commercial officer. “As markets have become more regionalized, this event provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase our innovative initiatives, including our DreamTemp Opus and the launch of the DreamSense brand as a consumer-facing line.”
Bush said Customatic, based in Natick, Massachusetts, is coming to High Point to strengthen its relationships with its retail partners.
“While we are not foreign to the High Point Market, we are excited to have a showroom space for the first time,” he said. “We’re eager to make a significant impact, allow the industry to experience our products firsthand, and connect with a wider audience.”
Returning to High Point is Diamond Mattress, based in Rancho Dominguez, California, which is sharing the 206 Atrium on Main showroom with Fashion Bed Group. That mattress manufacturer said it enjoyed a positive and productive debut in High Point in April.

“We are always excited to go where there are growth opportunities for ourselves and our customers,” said Shaun Pennington, chief executive officer. “We see value in the High Point Market to meet with new and current customers and will continue to evaluate each market to see what makes sense for us.”
Diamond is in the midst of an eastward expansion and sees strong interest from retailers “for premium beds with an innovation story to drive traffic and get healthy margins,” he added.
Diamond’s High Point introductions include the Black Diamond collection, which was well received at the Las Vegas Market this summer.
Also returning to High Point is DreamFit, the Cullman, Alabama-based sleep accessories supplier, which is showing a new mattress protector program for American Leather sleep-sofas in the American Leather showroom, Showplace 5000.

“The partnership with American Leather has been a widespread success for us and American Leather dealers who experienced the custom-made sheets for the first time last spring have requested we expand the offerings,” said Chris Taheny, DreamFit’s senior vice president of sales. “Meticulously designed to fit the exact specifications of all American Leather sleep-sofas, the DreamCool mattress protector helps to regulate body temperature, manage moisture and provides sleepers with the assurances of a clean, sterile environment. Not only will they protect the mattress from harmful elements, but they also offer a durable and aggressive defense for consumers looking to preserve the longevity of their investment. It’s a win-win for both the owner and their home visitors.”
In April, DreamFit displayed a custom-made sheet program in the American Leather showroom.
