Paramount Sleep Co. has hired two industry veterans. Steve Tipton heads up hospitality sales, and Rachael Cordoza leads the company’s quality program.
In his role as Paramount’s national hospitality ambassador, Tipton leads efforts into new and innovative markets in hospitality with a focus on sustainability, one of Paramount’s core values. Tipton has a substantial background in product innovation and market growth, with demonstrated success in sales and building the hospitality segment for brands such as Simmons Mattress Co., Serta-Simmons Bedding and DH Cos.
“Steve is an innovator with well-defined vision on emerging markets. He clearly understands the value and art of customizing products to meet client needs, which sets him apart and makes him a strong fit for Paramount’s customer-centric approach,” says Richard Fleck, president of Paramount Sleep.
Cordoza brings more than 20 years of mattress industry experience and a degree in operations management to her role as quality assurance analyst responsible for the quality program for the Norfolk facility and its alliance partners. She reports to Kevin Michaud, Paramount’s director of special projects.
Cordoza has vast knowledge and understanding of operations having served in hands-on factory roles as well as managerial positions for brands such as Spring Air, Serta Simmons, AW Industries and Biscayne Bedding. Her experience includes developing and improving safety programs, implementing ERP systems and conducting quality and safety audits for factories throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“In the short time that Rachael has been with us, she has already developed a QC manual and is doing inspections on the floor. She has also made an impressive impact to our already high standards of producing quality products. She has also taken over the responsibilities of the CFR1632 and CFR1633 open flame record keeping and compliance,” says Michaud.
