Capital Bedding is celebrating its 105th anniversary with a new name, updated website and refreshed mattress lineup this week. Scott Grand, owner of the fourth-generation, family-owned mattress manufacturer, said the name change to Grand Bedding honors its long-standing family legacy, dating back to founder John Richard Grand, who started the company in 1920.
In addition, the name change will distinguish them from other manufacturers with similar names. The new website, www.grandbedding.com, is previewing the new 2026 lineup, available for delivery starting June 15.
Grand notes that despite the name change, the company remains committed to delivering top-quality products to its dealers. “Our beds deliver high margins for dealers and a high value proposition for their customers,” he says.
“Grand Bedding provides unending flexibility to produce what the retail customer wants,” Grand continues. “Being vertically integrated, we cut foam and spin coils all in-house. We can deliver custom sizes, profiles and comfort levels, and get it to the retailer in seven to 10 days. We simply do what the big guys can’t.”
New this year, Grand Bedding can roll pack and carton nearly all of its mattresses, enabling direct-to-consumer shipping that saves retailers time and money. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Grand Bedding services dealers in 49 states.
“We are looking for a great dealer in Montana, so we can complete the entire U.S.,” Grand adds.
