BIA prepares for new introductions at the Las Vegas Market

Bedding Industries of America is relaunching its Harvest Green line of mattresses and will introduce Eclipse Ice at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.

The Harvest Green collection features brand-new, higher-end fabrics and an updated cover, offering a healthier alternative to the original models. Greenguard Gold certified and made in the United States without synthetic foams or chemical fire retardants, the line is created with only the finest materials, including certified organic Dunlop latex, wool and cotton, as well as a green pressure-relief coil system, the company says.

New to the lineup, the brand is upgrading the wool to be 100% natural with new, higher-end organic cotton fabrics for the cover. Compared to the original collection, the new additions are designed to result in a more sophisticated, updated look for retailers’ floors.

Narrowing down the collection from the original five options, the three-mattress lineup is available in Essentials, Original and Pillow-Top models, in keeping with the brand’s goal of simplifying collections across the board to make them easy to understand for salespeople and their customers.

“In the five years since the original launch of our Harvest Green collection, we have seen consumers continuously gravitate toward all-natural sleep components. That, combined with feedback from our dealers, who told us they see more and more opportunity on this front, led us to relaunch this line,” said Jared Carlitz, chief executive officer of BIA. “Keeping our lineups easy to understand, while including natural materials and components is very important to us, and this is a logical step on our path to greater sustainability,”

Ranging from $1,099 to $2,499 in queen, this collection will be prominently displayed in BIA’s Las Vegas Showroom, Space B-1118.

Roll-pack capable and available as hand-tufted split-heads, the three Eclipse Ice models are best described as cool, cooler and coolest — stepping up through a choice of ice-cold fabrics and construction technologies.

The lineup starts at $1,999 for the 14-inch I-Class, featuring 792 pocketed coil foam encased construction combined with naturally antibacterial copper-infused gel memory foam. The 15-inch C-Class (suggested retail $2,499) adds nano coils for additional airflow and is available in firm and pillow-top, while the 15-inch E-Class (suggested retail $2,999) adds latex, a breathable, natural heat conductor, and is available in firm, plush and pillow-top.

The collection also features BIA’s signature Spinal Zone technology throughout, which is clinically proven to reduce back pain by providing proper spinal alignment, the company says.

“It’s fair to say that cold has never been hotter or in more demand, but until now cooling collections have been relegated to relatively plain, zipper-cover designs. We are excited to see dealers’ reaction to this luxe look and feel. Priced as it is a few hundred less than the competition, we expect to achieve some serious velocity,” says Phil Carlitz, chief operating officer of BIA.
