Mattress World Northwest has been honored with the Portland Business Journal’s prestigious 2024 Corporate Philanthropy Award, marking the second consecutive year the company has received this accolade.
Recognized for its outstanding community contributions, Mattress World Northwest dedicated over $120,000 in volunteer hours, mattress donations and cash gifts to benefit local families, veterans and organizations supporting children and senior citizens.
Much of the company’s philanthropic impact came through its annual golf tournament and a recent large-scale donation of over 250 mattresses to Furniture Share of Oregon and other local nonprofits. These efforts aimed to address furniture poverty and provide essential bedding for underserved families, including children and veterans who previously had no bed to sleep on.
In addition to these initiatives, Mattress World Northwest supported a range of charitable organizations through cash donations, helping fund programs at Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics Oregon, the Senior Citizens Council of Clackamas County and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Oregon. These contributions align with Mattress World Northwest’s dedication to helping the communities where they operate.
