Description: We are not looking for a “salesperson.” If you want to pitch products and hit a quota by talking at people, go somewhere else. We are looking for the ultimate advisor. Your goal is to build a relationship so deep that the client wouldn’t dream of making a major life or business decision without calling you first. You aren’t selling a service; you are selling your judgment.
You will start by working on the factory floor, doing the “grunt work.” You will learn everything about how our products are made. You’ll be organizing salesforce data, proofreading pitch decks at 2:00 AM, and fetching coffee for the team. Why? Because if we can’t trust you to get a font right or a lunch order perfect, we certainly can’t trust you with a multi-million relationship. You must have zero ego and an infinite work ethic.
In this role, you will learn how the world actually works. You will learn how to communicate, how to persuade, and how to build a network that will sustain you for thirty years. If you survive the first two years of the “grind,” you will have earned the right to be a Senior Business Developer.
Qualifications:
Extreme Humility: You must be comfortable being the “dumbest” person in the room for a while. You are here to learn the technicals so well that they become second nature.
The “Admissions Mistake” Grit: We value people who feel they have something to prove. If you’ve ever felt like an underdog, you’ll fit in here.
Integrity Above Revenue: You must be willing to tell a prospect not to do a deal if it’s bad for them. Losing a commission to gain a lifetime of trust is the only way we operate.
Attention to Detail: One typo in a client email is a signal of sloppiness. In this business, sloppiness is fatal.
